The Bowens Explorer 1500 represents the state of the art in portable battery generator technology. Measuring just 270mm(L) x 175mm(W) x 250mm(H) and weighing just under 12kg, the unit offers an unbeatable power to size ratio while providing the photographer with the flexibility of two independently digitally controlled 0.1 f-stop incremented channels. The unique LCD interface is both intuitive and informative, making it quick and simple to setup and start shooting accurately anywhere. The unit comes with an interchangeable 12Ah battery unit which provides up to 200 shots at the full 1500Ws, recycling in 3.8 seconds or 250 shots at 1200Ws in 3 seconds. As with other Bowens generators, the Explorer is QUAD head compatible and so can be used with existing QUAD heads or the Bowens Ringflash. In addition, the Explorer also features two 'Gemini' sockets which allows connection of two Esprit Gemini or Calumet Travelite Monolights. So, by Connecting two QUAD Heads and two Esprit Gemini/Travelite 750 Units you can acheive a total of 3000Ws from this remarkably compact power pack. The Heavy Duty Battery Module will approximately double the capacity of the battery unit it is connected to. The Explorer 1500 or Turbopak simply sits on top of the module. The fan-cooled monolight can operate at 4 or 5 frames per second at low power levels. Audible and visual ready indications at 100% recycle are provided. With normal reflectors (the Force 10 accepts all Speedotron light control accessories), it has a lighting range of 8 f-stops, variable in 1/3 or 1/6 stop increments.
