The Turbopak Battery system expands the Bowens range of Battery solutions. Following the launch of the Explorer 1500 Battery Generator and the Travelpak and Travelpak+ battery units, the Turbopak is designed to provide power for up to four Bowens Esprit Gemini Units providing up to 1600 flashes on a single charge. Similar in proportion to the Explorer 1500, the Turbopak is just as portable but with the added benefit of being able to power four Bowens Esprit Gemini units, so with four 750Ws monolights you have up to 3000Ws of energy at your disposal. When used in combination, the 1Ds Mark II will function as the capture device, while the Ultima 35 is the optical system that offers swings, tilts, lateral and vertical shift and critical focusing in order to create perfectly aligned images with the desired sharpness plane and depth of field. Hasselblad lenses will work when mounted on a special adapter plate. In addition, any regular large format lens (over 90mm) will also work. Because the metering is done at the chip, there is no need to compute bellows compensation. Both front and rear standard movements provide for quick and easy set up of images. The Ultima 35 places the sensor exactly in the optical axis vertically, horizontally and front-to-back.
